Asia's Top 1000 Brands report: Global versus local in Singapore

Most notably, big names with a clear connection to the country performed particularly well, including Singapore Airlines, the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS), and local telco company, Singtel. Their performance in the ranking indicate that Singaporeans are not ready to abandon local players for global ones any time soon.

The survey also showed that within the top 10 spots, Apple had a strong reception, moving four places. This is likely because of the boom in popularity in its products, as well as the buzz surrounding the iPhone and iPad launches in the past year.

The Top 1000 Asia Pacific Brands report is a proprietary survey co-produced by Campaign and research firm, TNS. The Singapore survey is part of a regional top-of-mind survey across ten key markets that included more than 3,300 respondents.
